The Crash of 1929 - an excellent PBS series

I just saw this on PBS last weekend -- what great timing on their part. I never knew exactly what caused the 1929 crash. I thought it was just over-valued stocks and that people were much more stupid when they lived in a world of grainy black and white images. But no, turns out it was a massive credit crunch and then the banks tried to bail it all out and failed...wow

Well I certainly spoke too soon...

FSLR came out with incredible earnings today and just blew right through the resistance. The (down) trend has changed.

U.S. dollar top prediction actually worked

I think that may have been a top for the US dollar and my prediction worked almost exactly. I did it by using 3 boxes, exact duplicates in size of the bottom box and placed at pullbacks. When I first looked at it I didn't think it could go that high but it did. I'm not sure if it was luck but it's definitely something worth remembering and trying again.

It seems resistance is NOT Futile!

The S&P did the same thing as I would guess most stocks did today. Went right up to that resistance and then backed off and later just bombs away at about 3:30 just to fuck everybody's heads up. If we do break out of this funk, they sure aren't going to make it easy.

Is Google bottoming, or about to take a final dive?

We are certainly at an interesting juncture for the entire market. If this is a bottom for GOOG, it's obviously a bottom for everything so do we break the trend line and head up or is it just the beginning of a 3rd wave down?

Is this pig getting ready to fly?

I wonder if Apple is making a short-term bottom in this area.

FSLR is tricky. I will be watching these trend lines.

If RIMM cuts above this trend line, it might be a buy. Until then, might as well just short the pig.
